amaravati startup area proposals singapore consortium ascendas sembcorp singbridge
Amaravati: The AP-Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) has fixed February 21 as the deadline for submission of counter-proposals to the offer made by Singapore consortium (Ascendas-Singbridge and Sembcorp) under the Swiss Challenge method for development of the start-up area of seed capital of Amaravati.

The Request-for-Qualification documents along with project information can be accessed from www.apeprocurement.gov.in starting at 3 p.m. on January 6 subject to the terms set out therein.

It may be noted that the CRDA has approved the Master Plan for the development of Amaravati as a green-field capital city spread in 217 square kilometres, in February 2016 and the Singapore consortium had submitted its proposal along with draft contract agreements for developing the start-up area of 6.84 sq. km to the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department as per the A.P Infrastructure Development Enabling Act, 2001.

The government could have stuck to its approval of the Singapore consortium’s proposal but had to invite counter proposals as per the court directions.
