Amaravati Jio Marathon is a yearly event that symbolises the might and emergence of the people’s capital. The marathon will be a first-of-its-kind event that exemplifies the spirit of unity of the citizens of Andhra Pradesh in building India’s youngest city.
The run is being organised by DEEP Trust with the active support of the Police Department and the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.
He said the Jio marathon was an excellent opportunity for people of the new capital to be a part of an initiative for creating awareness on health related activities and also showcase their talent.
“As part of the physical literacy drive initiated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the Trust had launched programmes such as marathons and Happy Sundays besides other initiatives like mother and child awareness programme, health screening camps for all sections of society and importance of water and sanitation in society”.
