Vijayawada: The Capital Region Builders Association (CRBA) will organise a two-day ‘Price Protection Property Show’ at Sesha Sai Kalyana Mandapam here on January 28 and 29. The show will be inaugurated at 10 a.m.
CRBA chairman Gadde Rajling said that the CRBA ’s price protection show was first of its kind in the capital region.
The CRBA members are offering price assurance scheme on their projects and were of the view that demonetisation would prove to be positive for the real estate sector, as it will lead to lower interest rates and EMIs, along with higher transparency, he said.
Deals in the secondary market have come to a standstill, with both buyers and sellers waiting for clarity, while in the primary market developers are looking to prompt fence-sitting home buyers.
Most home buyers are in a wait-and-watch mode because they expect prices to come down.
The price protection strategy was launched assuring buyers of adjustment of compensation if prices go down.
The assurances are aimed at prompting clients who were preparing to buy a house but are now waiting for a correction in property prices, he said.
