Speaking here on Sunday, Mr. Babu said the flyover which was very tough to build took a very short time though it had to overcome many obstacles like underground drinking water pipes, high tension electricity lines above and others. This would be the only flyover of an NH in the country to be completed so fast, he added.
Speaking about the City Square that would come up in the Swarajya Maidan, Mr. Babu said that people would get more space as the existing buildings would be removed.
“There are rumours against the development but the project is advancing. The project would open up more space for the public and it will be completely accessible for all. Beneath the City Square will be a commercial space much more open and wider than the Palika Bazar in New Delhi,” Mr. Babu explained.
The project had been handed over to the I&I infrastructure, the Collector added. About more walking tracks, Mr. Babu said the ‘Nagaravanam’ around Kothuru hill in Jakkampudi would be much better place than the KBR Park in Hyderabad.
